The Weekend 2011

Wan Ton BoysThe Weekend 2011: Operation Midnight Dragon was hotter than a bowl of fried rice. Teams of students costumed as Pixar characters, volleyball players, mimes, zombies, Tron characters, and more were immersed in the atmosphere of Japan, complete with paper lanterns, a Japanese flag, Japanese dragons, and even the Tokyo skyline! But, this was not a social studies lesson—it was a weekend of complete devotion to the Lord. Students were also plunged into the love of Jesus Christ and His Word as Kevin Miller led several studies throughout the weekend, with worship headed up by the band Esterlyn. Several kids came to a saving knowledge of Christ or renewed their commitment to Him, and many enjoyed a sense of true fellowship as they took part in team cheers, the Won Ton games, and prayers for one another. With a wonderful balance of fun and faith, "The Weekend 2011: Operation Midnight Dragon" was a huge success.

Every year the rules video is one of the most anticipated events of the entire Weekend. This year was no exception. The action was hotter than wasabi all over your tuna roll!
